"shine! grand canal" tells the shining moments and people's stories of the canal basin from four dimensions of "ancient, modern, chinese and foreign" through clue collection, documentary visits, canal shining night and other links, immersively depicts the beautiful picture of the ancient and modern canal, and deeply explores the historical value and practical significance of the grand canal.

the program will connect eight provinces (cities) along the grand canal, and go deep into more than ten representative cities along the canal. it will also use new technologies and new perspectives such as ai to convey the chinese cultural stories that have been flowing for thousands of years to the younger generation of audiences.

"shine! grand canal" is a project supported by the national radio and television administration's 2023-2024 "online audiovisual program creation and communication project", which has been included in beijing's "2024 national cultural center construction key task list" and is also a key art and literature project of the beijing municipal radio and television bureau's 2024 "beijing grand audiovisual".
