on the 6th of this month, the super typhoon "makar" landed on hainan island, causing serious damage to the northern region. "soulik" did not land directly on hainan island, but passed by the southern coast of sanya city, and the wind and rain it brought were much milder than "makar".

at present, cities and counties in northern hainan island are rushing to repair power facilities damaged by super typhoon "makar". the meteorological department said that the rainfall brought by "soulik" will have a certain impact on power repair.

at present, "soulik" has not affected the transportation in and out of hainan island. navigation in the qiongzhou strait is normal, and haikou meilan international airport, sanya phoenix international airport and qionghai boao international airport are taking off and landing normally.

according to weather forecasts, the intensity of "soulik" has no room to increase. it will move westward and southward at a speed of about 10 kilometers per hour, land on the eastern coast of vietnam on the night of the 19th, and then gradually weaken.
