yu xiancheng, president of the china satellite navigation and positioning association, said that the beidou system is a major space infrastructure in my country, and plays an important supporting role in national security, economic development and people's lives. at present, the beidou industry is entering a stage of large-scale application and high-quality development, helping various industries to transform and upgrade, improve quality and increase efficiency, forming a good situation of in-depth application and large-scale development, and generating significant economic and social benefits.
the "2024 china beidou industry development index report" released on the same day showed that my country's beidou industry maintained a steady growth trend, and the beidou marketization, industrialization, and internationalization related indexes reached a new level. as of the first half of this year, my country's beidou industry development comprehensive index reached 1,431 points, a year-on-year increase of 9.07%, marking a new stage in the large-scale application of beidou.
wuhan is a national aerospace industry base and the largest beidou industry cluster in the central region. it lists the beidou industry as one of the five major advantageous industries for breakthrough development. it is understood that wuhan will guide enterprises to integrate beidou with new technologies such as 5g, high-resolution remote sensing, and inertial navigation, promote the innovative application of the beidou system in the fields of internet of vehicles, internet of things, industrial internet, and artificial intelligence, and strive to cultivate the beidou industry cluster.
wuhan economic and technological development zone, the venue of this conference, is actively empowering the "135" industrial system. it is currently focusing on the integrated development of "beidou+", and has gathered more than 100 beidou industry chain companies such as nandou liuxing and beidou guoke. focusing on application scenarios such as "beidou+ intelligent connected vehicle" and "beidou+ low-altitude economy", it will strengthen the construction of intelligent connected infrastructure, create application benchmarks, and cultivate new quality productivity.
