on september 13, the french embassy in china, together with the french health industry alliance and the national health commission of china, held the 9th "china-france medical day" and china-france high-level medical seminar during the china international fair for trade in services. more than 500 senior representatives of chinese and french health institutions, experts and scholars, and corporate executives were invited to attend.

the sino-french medical day is held in different cities in china with different themes every year. this year's sino-french medical day is themed "health under population challenges: disease prevention and medical innovation throughout the life cycle", and focuses on three major issues, namely the development, evaluation and access of medical innovations; aging and elderly care; prevention and innovation in the field of respiratory diseases. this theme reflects a global health issue and is also a priority for public health in china and france.

during the summit, a series of keynote speeches and three roundtable discussions will be held. chinese leaders including the chairman of the chinese hospital association and the president of the chinese academy of medical sciences will attend the plenary session after the opening ceremony and deliver speeches.

at the three special roundtable meetings that followed, many government agency representatives, experts and scholars, and corporate executives in the health field discussed medical and nursing practices in three major areas: "how to promote, evaluate and enable medical innovation", "elderly and aging", and "prevention of respiratory diseases and innovative therapies".

it is understood that china and france have had in-depth cooperation in the field of medical and health for decades. in the future, the two countries will continue to consolidate their existing partnership and explore new ways of cooperation in professional training, academic exchanges, clinical research, and the development of medical enterprise activities, and use this as a starting point to further develop bilateral relations.
