recently, da mi and xiaomi (hereinafter referred to as "da mi and xiaomi"), a leading domestic children's rehabilitation platform, announced its business upgrade, focusing on language rehabilitation and launching a new language rehabilitation product "misheng" to provide rehabilitation services for all children with language development disorders. it also opened 6 new language rehabilitation centers in beijing, shanghai, guangzhou, shenzhen and wuhan.
it is understood that dami and xiaomi established the first children's rehabilitation center in 2016, and has since developed into a first-line professional intervention institution for children with special needs in china. the launch of the "misheng" product is to expand the service objects to all children with language development disorders.
wang zhanwei, vice president of r&d at xiao mi, introduced that since autistic children often suffer from delayed language development and language development disorders, xiao mi has been working closely with the team of professor li yueshang, a speech rehabilitation expert and professor at the department of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery of the faculty of medicine of the chinese university of hong kong, since 2016 to build a rehabilitation curriculum system. to ensure the supply of talents, it has also cooperated with eight universities including zhejiang university, nanjing normal university of special education, and shanghai university of traditional chinese medicine, and built a talent team based on the curriculum of the master's program in speech therapists at the chinese university of hong kong, forming a research and development application mechanism that integrates experts, supervisors, and rehabilitation therapists.

however, in the process of promoting services, da mi and xiao mi found that language development disorders were common among children in china, and they received and served a large number of non-autistic children with language development difficulties, serving more than 5,000 people in 8 years. professor li yueshang said, "after so many years of development, i feel that we have become more mature in the treatment of autism. i think it is time to focus on other speech problems in the field of children, such as speech disorders, stuttering, and voice." in july 2023, da mi and xiao mi established the first children's language rehabilitation center in zhujiang new town, guangzhou.
"through a one-year pilot in the zhujiang new town center, we found that establishing a separate language center is very effective in helping more children with language disorders." wang zhanwei said, so, in 2024, dami and xiaomi opened five language rehabilitation centers in fangzhuang, beijing, hong kong road, wuhan, futian, shenzhen, yingfeng, guangzhou, and liziyuan, shanghai, to provide assessment, consultation and intervention services for children and families with communication disorders, developmental language disorders, speech (arthritis) disorders, stuttering, voice disorders, and swallowing and feeding difficulties.
