on the first day of registration on september 11, the leaders of nanjing forestry university visited the freshman reception stations, dormitories, and canteens of various colleges to express their care and blessings to the freshmen. "where are you from?" "are you comfortable living in the dormitory?" "is the food delicious?"... the freshmen said that the care of the school leaders made them feel the warmth of home and strengthened their determination to study hard and build dreams for the future in nanjing forestry university.
in order to welcome new students from all over the world, lishui district of nanjing, baima campus of nanjing forestry university, and relevant functional departments and colleges of the school have worked together to carefully prepare a series of "heartwarming" services and "heartfelt" welcome activities to let the newly arrived students feel the warmth of becoming a "nanlin person":
during the new student registration period from september 11 to 12, lishui district not only opened a customized express bus for nanlin university, but also opened a customized bus "nanlin university new student free shuttle line". the school added a new lukou airport pick-up point this year. at 9:30 am on september 11, the lukou airport station welcomed the first new student. at lukou airport, nanjing station, nanjing south station, lishui high-speed railway station and other off-campus reception stations, the logistics department organized more than 60 buses, 2 small passenger cars, and 4 sightseeing battery cars as on-campus and internal and external shuttle vehicles. the teachers and students of the relevant colleges who picked up the station and the student volunteers wearing red vests carefully answered questions for the new students, guided the route, and carried the luggage. the seniors greeted enthusiastically and led the younger brothers and sisters to find their respective "organizations" smoothly.
at the welcome ceremony on campus, relevant functional departments made careful plans and overall arrangements: parking spaces were rationally planned, with 1,200 ground parking spaces and 300 underground parking spaces; the canteen's available area was opened up to the maximum extent, temporary tents were set up, nearly 300 seats were added, and drinks, fruits, cultural and creative products, etc. were given away free of charge on all floors of the canteen; 300 freshman volunteers were recruited for early registration training, and participated in freshman reception, luggage transportation, route guidance and other volunteer services together with old student volunteers; more than 150 teachers, students and staff of the student dormitory carried out full coverage of the dormitory welcome service in each building and floor, and the check-in process was smooth and orderly; 50 carts and 60 flatbed trucks were provided for luggage transportation; free tea stations were set up at each freshman registration point for teachers and students to drink; a special parent rest area was set up in the teaching building; 500 disposable rain gears were prepared, anti-slip mats were laid in slippery areas, and safety warnings were played in a loop; the registration status was updated in real time on the electronic screen in the "one-stop" service hall. on the evening of registration, the secretaries and deans of each college led a team to the dormitories to communicate face-to-face with the freshmen, to understand whether they have adapted to life on the new campus, to keep open communication channels for feedback at all times, and to welcome the freshmen with heart and do a solid and effective job of receiving them.
in addition, 19 colleges and universities have carried out a series of "new" welcome activities at the welcome sites in combination with their college characteristics. for example, the school of materials science and engineering adheres to the original intention of "gathering materials in nanlin, and determining the future", and uses the college flag and department flag as guidance to inherit the spirit and culture of the college. at the same time, it also prepares "material youth" felt bags with green ecological themes for freshmen, hoping that students will continue to work hard with the concept of "for clear waters and green mountains".
