the people's procuratorate of dezhou city, shandong province, filed an indictment alleging that from 1998 to 2022, the defendant liu lixian used the convenience of his positions as director of the procuratorial technology bureau of the supreme people's procuratorate, member of the party committee, secretary of the discipline inspection commission, and vice president of china huarong asset management co., ltd., member of the party committee and secretary of the discipline inspection commission of industrial and commercial bank of china co., ltd., as well as the convenient conditions formed by his power or status, and through the official actions of other state officials, he provided assistance to relevant units and individuals in matters such as business operations, case handling, and promotion.illegally accepted property directly or through others, totaling more than rmb 17.76 million。the procuratorate proposed that liu lixian be held criminally responsible for the crime of accepting bribes.

during the trial, the procuratorate presented relevant evidence, the defendant liu lixian and his defense counsel conducted cross-examination, the prosecution and defense fully expressed their opinions under the auspices of the court, liu lixian made a final statement, and expressed his guilt and remorse in court.

at the end of the trial, the court announced a recess and the verdict will be announced at a later date.

more than 20 people including npc deputies, cppcc members, journalists and people from all walks of life attended the trial.
