recently, the general office of the shenzhen municipal people's government issued the "implementation plan for shenzhen's ultra-long-term special treasury bond funds to support the replacement of consumer goods" (hereinafter referred to as the "plan"). the "plan" proposes specific support plans in eight aspects, including replacement and renewal of individual consumer passenger cars, scrapping and renewal of cars, scrapping and renewal of old operating trucks, renewal of new energy buses and power batteries, replacement of old home appliances, renovation and renewal of home decoration products, replacement of old electric bicycles, and scrapping and renewal of agricultural machinery. among them, the "plan" proposes to increase support for the renovation and renewal of home decoration products. in combination with the actual situation of the shenzhen decoration and renovation market, subsidies will be given to the decoration of old houses, partial renovation of kitchens and bathrooms, purchase of items and materials used for home aging renovation, and smart home consumption.

on the 10th, the shenzhen housing and construction bureau issued a guideline for subsidies for the purchase of items and materials for residential renovation and remodeling in shenzhen. according to the guideline, this subsidy is divided into two forms: full-house renovation subsidy and partial residential renovation and remodeling subsidy. during the event, a residential unit can only apply for a subsidy once, and each applicant can only apply for a subsidy once during the event. "legal residences" that meet the guidelines include commercial housing, policy-based housing, relocation housing, commercial apartments, etc., and residences without legal property rights are not included in this subsidy.

for the subsidy for whole house decoration, a one-time subsidy of 20% of the total contract price between the property owner and the decoration company will be given, and the maximum amount for a single property owner shall not exceed 30,000 yuan. among them, the total purchase price of home decoration items and materials should not be less than 60% of the total contract price. if it does not reach 60%, a subsidy of 20% of the total purchase price of home decoration items and materials will be given.

for the partial renovation subsidy of residential buildings, a one-time subsidy of 20% of the total purchase price of home decoration items and materials is given, and the maximum cumulative subsidy for a single property owner is no more than 20,000 yuan. the purchase price of home decoration items and materials is based on the tax-inclusive price of offline sales invoices. home decoration items and materials include construction and decoration materials, furniture, and smart consumer products for the whole house.

it is reported that the activity period is from july 24, 2024 to december 31, 2024. subject to the total budget, it is first come first served and will end when it runs out. when the subsidy funds are used up, the shenzhen housing and construction bureau will promptly issue an announcement to terminate the activity.

regarding this subsidy, the reporter also interviewed several merchants in the building materials and furniture industry. they welcomed the shenzhen's launch of the residential renovation and renovation items and materials purchase subsidy, hoping to stimulate more renovation demand. "our business is mainly for private owners, so the performance of the business is closely related to the changes in new home sales. we hope that this subsidy activity will stimulate more second-hand home owners to renovate." a merchant who mainly engages in home decoration customization told reporters at a large building materials and home center in sungang.

zhou xiaojian, deputy director of the shenzhen housing and construction bureau, said that this activity has the characteristics of a wide range of subsidy categories, sufficient subsidy sincerity, and full coverage of the subsidy range. specifically, the relevant plan includes home improvement consumer goods such as building and decoration materials, furniture, and whole-house intelligence into the scope of this subsidy application. the types of consumer goods cover wooden floors, doors and windows, ceilings, smart homes, customization, bathrooms, furniture, and other home improvement consumer goods commonly used by citizens, further meeting the diversified consumption needs of citizens.
