"hello, new classmates." from september 7 to 8, zhujiang college of south china agricultural university held a welcome event for the 2024 undergraduate class, welcoming more than 5,000 students. new students gathered from all directions to embark on a new journey here. on campus, colorful flags fluttered and banners hung high. from the colorful welcome arch to the warm guidance signboard, to the creative photo-taking area, the carefully arranged welcome scene, every detail revealed the warm welcome and good wishes for the new students.
during the orientation period, huazhu university used several special vehicles to provide a more convenient "one-stop" registration service for new students. the new students took the special vehicles at the school gate to the gymnasium, and under the guidance of volunteers, they went to the service points of their respective colleges to complete the registration. during the period, the school leaders visited the various registration points in the gymnasium to understand the situation of the orientation work, and interacted with the on-site staff, volunteers, new students and parents.

in order to actively respond to the country's call to strengthen the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, during the orientation period, huazhu specially invited intangible cultural heritage craft teachers and research instructors from guangzhou luodong artisan town to let huazhu freshmen and parents experience the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage at close range through on-site demonstrations, interactive experiences and other forms. various intangible cultural heritage project experiences such as pyrography, making herbal mosquito repellent sachets, cloisonné enamel, mortise and tenon woodworking sliding doors, and palace lacquer fans made the freshmen and parents gain a lot and have endless aftertastes. "intangible cultural heritage" welcomes new students, and traditional cultural aesthetic education permeates huazhu to inspire huazhu students' sense of responsibility and mission for cultural inheritance.
in addition, the wonderful singing and dancing performances, cheerleading performances and the lingnan-style lion dance performances brought by the school’s student clubs added a lot of joyful atmosphere to the welcome ceremony.
