"the discipline inspection commission of dongfeng motor corporation has spent a lot of manpower, material resources, time and energy to carry out relevant investigations, but the relevant investigations found that none of the violations reported by lawyer xiong shuming were true," the statement added.

before the "solemn statement no. 4", the "clean dongfeng" public account had already issued four related statements in succession, all in response to xiong shuming's report on dongfeng motor corporation.

according to information released by lianjie dongfeng and xiong shuming, the incident originated from an anti-corruption incident at dongfeng motor corporation three years ago (september 3, 2021), and the person involved was xiong faming, the younger brother of xiong shuming. xiong faming was a former public official of a subordinate unit of dongfeng motor corporation. he was investigated and punished according to law for suspected bribery and bribery by non-state personnel. in april 2023, the first instance court made a judgment in accordance with the law, and in november 2023, the second instance court made a final ruling in accordance with the law, rejecting the appeal and upholding the original judgment.

in response to the above case, xiong shuming published 16 articles on his personal public account from september 3 to september 9 this year, claiming that xiong faming's case was suspected of illegal handling of the case, and reported that relevant cadres of dongfeng motor corporation were suspected of violating discipline and laws.

according to the july production and sales report released by dongfeng motor corporation, in the first seven months of this year, dongfeng motor corporation sold a total of more than 1.07 million vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 3.1%, but new energy vehicles still increased by 22.5% year-on-year to 184,000 vehicles; in addition, the automobile sales of dongfeng motor corporation's joint ventures almost all showed a negative growth trend, among which dongfeng honda fell by 10.54% year-on-year, dongfeng peugeot citroen automobile fell by 12.76% year-on-year, dongfeng nissan (including dongfeng infiniti and venucia) fell by 4.8% year-on-year, and zhengzhou nissan fell by 29.4% year-on-year.
