the new energy system is an important foundation for building a modern industrial system, and the new power system is a key link in building a new energy system. at this international digital energy exhibition, china southern power grid company demonstrated on site how the "kuafu" series of products can make high-precision predictions of new energy. "kuafu" is independently developed by the digital grid research institute of china southern power grid. the product integrates full-cycle automatic machine learning technology into actual business, and can provide high-precision and lightweight prediction services for customers such as wind farms, photovoltaic power stations, distributed photovoltaics and dispatching agencies. the prediction accuracy can be increased by 3% to 7% based on national standard requirements.
"higher prediction accuracy means a reduction in the backup capacity of conventional power sources in the power grid. according to the calculation based on a 5% increase in the average power prediction accuracy, through 'ai+electricity', every 100 million kilowatts of new energy can reduce the backup capacity by 5 million kilowatts, which is equivalent to a large nuclear power plant, greatly saving investment costs," liang shouyu introduced.
during the exhibition, shenzhen power supply bureau and shenzhen development and reform commission released the virtual power plant control and management cloud platform 3.0. "shenzhen built the first network-based virtual power plant control and management cloud platform in china at the end of 2021. as of august this year, the total amount of resources connected to the platform exceeded 3.1 million kilowatts, which has expanded 60 times since the beginning of the launch, and the adjustable capacity exceeded 700,000 kilowatts, equivalent to a large thermal power unit." cheng renli, general manager of shenzhen virtual power plant management center, introduced. at present, the platform has been iterated to 3.0. one of its highlights is to put the "low-carbon dispatching" that has been highly researched in the industry into practice. starting from the local power generation source, the "carbon trajectory" in the power transmission process is calculated and monitored throughout the process, and combined with the power supply and demand situation, scientific peak shaving and valley filling are implemented to minimize carbon emissions.
digitalization is not only a need for the green and low-carbon transformation of the energy industry, but also an inevitable choice for enterprises to adapt to the trend of technological development. in response to the pain points of the "fragmentation" characteristics in the digital energy and internet of things fields that affect the development of the industry, china southern power grid co., ltd. launched the country's first power internet of things operating system "power hongmeng os", which for the first time realized a set of systems covering different types and brands of power equipment, realizing plug-and-play equipment and massive data interconnection, supporting the access and operation and maintenance of large-scale internet of things equipment in new power systems, and filling the domestic gap in this field. at present, more than 200 industry chain manufacturers have joined the electric hong ecosystem, covering mainstream domestic chips, communication modules, terminal equipment, etc.

at the exhibition, the new generation of pumped storage artificial intelligence data analysis platform "xu rui 1000d" independently developed by my country was officially unveiled. this marks that nearly one-fifth of the country's installed capacity of pumped storage equipment has been fully managed by artificial intelligence, which will greatly promote the improvement of the regulation capacity of the power system.
