in the ten years since its establishment, beijing yuanmengyuan agricultural professional cooperative has produced more than 1,200 tons of vegetables annually. with the help of the vegetable institute, the park has positioned the planting of taste-boosting tomatoes, beijing 308 and 309 series, watermelons, and fruit radishes as its main products. since then, tomatoes have been grown using selenium-enriched enzymes throughout the process. in 2021, more than 10 kinds of vegetables, including tomatoes, watermelons, and fruit radishes, have all been successfully selenium-enriched. in 2023, it also won the title of "ecological farm" in beijing.
wang guoyi, deputy director of the tongzhou district agriculture and rural affairs bureau, said that the vegetable research institute of beijing academy of agricultural and forestry sciences not only provides tongzhou district with high-quality vegetable variety resources and advanced cultivation technology guidance, but also provides scientific and technological support for the dual-wheel drive of seed industry and planting and the development of modern agriculture in tongzhou district. tongzhou district will also make good use of these advantages and support and continue to work hard to produce more fresh, high-quality and safe agricultural products for the sub-center and the residents of the entire city.
