cyberspace has become the fifth territory after land, sea, air and space. cyberspace reflects national sovereignty, and ensuring cyberspace security is also ensuring national sovereignty. on september 3, the world internet conference international organization held a theoretical seminar in beijing to promote the construction of a community with a shared future in cyberspace to a new stage. it pointed out that worldwide, security issues such as unbalanced development, imperfect rules and unreasonable order in the internet field are becoming increasingly prominent, and all parties need to work together to cooperate and jointly respond to and solve them.
security is the premise of development. china actively participates in building a safe, stable and prosperous cyberspace. in recent years, china has actively fulfilled its international responsibilities, strengthened partnerships in the field of cybersecurity, deepened international cooperation in cybersecurity emergency response, and jointly combated cybercrime and cyberterrorism. the release of the international cooperation strategy for cyberspace, the proposal of the global data security initiative, and the launch of the "china-africa initiative to build a community of shared future in cyberspace" are all proof of china's active participation in the global internet governance mechanism, the continuous deepening of international cooperation in the digital economy, the joint maintenance of cyberspace security, and the promotion of inclusive and inclusive development of the internet.
to enhance the interconnection and interoperability, countries around the world need to participate together. internet core technology has become the core structure and basic support of the cyberspace security technology system. it is not only the key to the development of cyberspace, but also the key to responding to the current cyberspace security threats. for this work, based on the interconnection and interoperability of the internet itself, the road of "closed-door development" is undoubtedly not feasible. open interconnection is the gene and soul of the core technology of the internet. in order to always maintain the open interconnection gene of the internet, the international organization for standardization ietf (internet engineering task force) was established. it is precisely by adhering to the principle of open interconnection in the development of internet technology and the formulation of standards that the ubiquitous internet has been achieved today. under the new situation, the development of network security technology should advocate the concept of open interconnection and continuously improve the standards of international cooperation.
we need to build consensus and make the internet better benefit the people of all countries in the world. although countries around the world have different national conditions, different stages of internet development, and different practical challenges, they all share the same desire to promote the development of the digital economy, the same interests in responding to cybersecurity challenges, and the same need to strengthen cyberspace governance. we must promote the goal of equal respect, innovative development, open sharing, and safe and orderly cyberspace. the establishment of the world internet conference international organization also shows the common development pursuit of countries around the world in the field of the internet. at present, more than 140 internet institutions, organizations, enterprises and individuals from more than 30 countries and regions on six continents have become members of the world internet conference, further promoting the interconnection between china and the world and the sharing and governance of the international internet.
all beneficial ways go with the times. cyberspace carries mankind's infinite longing for a better future. faced with the great changes in the world that have not been seen in a century, the complex and ever-changing international political situation, and the acceleration of the trend of deglobalization, china and other countries in the world are facing severe cybersecurity pressure. to this end, taking the step of open interconnection is applicable in the past, present and future. we must become contributors to internet technology in the extensive international cooperation on core internet technologies, make china's contribution to the development of the internet, and promote the building of a more peaceful and secure cyberspace community with a shared future.
