on september 6, director xu haofeng’s new film "the treasure land in front of the door" was officially announced to be released nationwide on september 20.

this is the first time that xu haofeng's film has hit the big screen in nine years.this is also xu haofeng's work that once again showcases the martial arts scene in tianjin after "master".

the film was co-written and directed by xu haofeng and xu junfeng, with xu haofeng and liang shaohong serving as action directors, and starring xiang zuo, guo biting, andy on, natalie tong, with li yuan, li fan, zhao zheng and others, and special appearances by ren ke and mao tao.

many movie fans applauded at being able to see xu haofeng's movie in the cinema again.

xu haofeng is famous for directing stylized martial arts films. so far, only three of his works have been released in mainland theaters, namely "the pirates' trace" in 2012, "the master" in 2015, and "the arrow master" which was re-released in mainland china in 2016. their douban scores are 7.3, 8.2, and 7.3 respectively.
