the beijing international mountain hiking conference is a brand event for mentougou district to create an international mountain sports check-in site. this year marks its 15th year. this year's route design fully combines the unique advantages of "ecology + culture + location" in the mountainous area of mentougou district, setting up four routes: a 20-kilometer millennium temple hiking route, a 10-kilometer ecological walking hiking route, a 20-kilometer ancient road and ancient village hiking route, and a 12-kilometer cuanbaixiangyun hiking route. it connects multiple characteristic spots such as the natural landscape, red resources, and historical culture of mentougou district, and fully displays the rich mountain tourism resources and sports and leisure style of mentougou district. the route difficulty also covers the needs of various groups such as hiking enthusiasts and parent-child families.
zhaitang town has the national key cultural relics protection units, the cuandixia ancient building complex and lingyue temple, the municipal intangible cultural heritage baiyu yan opera and xizhaitang shanbangzi opera, and rich cultural and tourism resources. ancient temples, ancient villages, ancient roads, and ancient opera stages are spread throughout the town.
