the provincial data bureau announced that the world smart city conference recently announced the shortlist of china candidates for the world smart city award, and the cases selected by wuxi, xuzhou and zhenjiang were shortlisted.

the world smart city awards (wsca) is organized by the global smart city conference and is known as the "oscar" in the smart city industry. among them, the "world smart city awards china" award is one of the important awards, which is selected once a year to recognize and promote the outstanding achievements of china's smart city construction. this year, this award attracted 42 cities (excluding counties and cities under its jurisdiction) from 20 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country to participate, with 166 application materials submitted, covering a total of 441 smart city construction scenario cases. in the end, 30 smart cases were shortlisted, including 3 in jiangsu, namely wuxi's "demanding new quality productivity from data elements, optimizing the business environment and cultivating an innovative ecosystem", zhenjiang's "public data platform empowers high-quality development of the green economy", and xuzhou's "urban management bureau @ city lifeline".

the three cases shortlisted for the award demonstrate the fruitful results of the construction of digital jiangsu.

wuxi municipal bureau of data takes "data elements empowering industrial innovation" as the main line and "efficiently completing one thing" as the support to promote the establishment of digital enterprises and realize the cluster development of digital industries. in 2023, the scale of the city's digital economy industry will reach 701.2 billion yuan, creating three digital landmark industries with a scale of 100 billion yuan, such as the internet of things, integrated circuits, software and information services, and five digital emerging industries with a scale of 10 billion yuan, such as intelligent networked vehicles, artificial intelligence, big data cloud computing, information security and blockchain, and humanoid robots, and digital future industries such as third-generation semiconductors, future networks, quantum technology, and metaverse. it will guide the implementation of 100 typical application scenarios with regional or industry influence, and draw a "hundred-scene map" of wuxi's digital intelligence.

relying on the "public data platform", zhenjiang city integrates multi-dimensional data such as energy consumption, carbon emissions and environmental monitoring to build a smart low-carbon city management system, promote energy structure optimization, accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development, improve the ecological environment governance system, promote ecological priority, conservation and intensive, green and low-carbon development, and achieve efficient governance of environmental protection and green and low-carbon development. as the data resource base of "smart zhenjiang", the city's public data platform has gathered 4.883 billion public data from 65 municipal departments in the city, published more than 50,000 data catalogs, and the data interface is called 12 million times per month on average, providing a solid data foundation for the application of green energy and environment in smart cities. in terms of business innovation, it was the first in the country to build a city carbon emission accounting and management cloud platform. currently, 438 companies have been connected to the energy and carbon management big data platform. through data collection and analysis, the platform accurately profiles the connected companies, evaluates their energy usage, and combines production and operation conditions to determine the carbon emission intensity, conduct scientific assessments, and generate corresponding energy efficiency codes, exploring the "four carbon" innovations with the main contents of industry "carbon transformation", project "carbon assessment", enterprise "carbon monitoring", and regional "carbon assessment".

xuzhou city focuses on the construction of lifeline safety projects, accelerates the construction of resilient cities and smart cities, further fills the gaps in urban infrastructure, enhances the ability to prevent and manage urban safety risks, and continuously improves the city's inherent safety level. combined with urban physical examinations, urban renewal actions, and comprehensive underground pipeline surveys, we will find out the basics of urban management infrastructure. based on platforms such as urban infrastructure safety monitoring, two- and three-dimensional comprehensive management of underground pipelines, and urban information model foundations, we will build an urban comprehensive supervision platform to gather data on the foundation, operation, management, and services in the fields of gas, water supply, drainage, third-party construction damage, underground pipelines, bridges, roads, and heating. in accordance with the principles of "one network for unified management, one network for all" and "one game for the whole city", we will achieve full-cycle management of urban infrastructure monitoring, analysis, and early warning, as well as full-process management of comprehensive evaluation and assessment. breaking down traditional spatial barriers, achieving comprehensive management of above-ground and underground spaces, and establishing a cross-regional, cross-departmental, and cross-level urban comprehensive supervision mechanism system, the efficiency of urban operations and risk prevention and control capabilities will be significantly improved, and the level of scientific, refined, and intelligent urban governance will be greatly improved.
