on august 9, chint new energy's jiuquan base officially received the zero-carbon factory certification issued by tüv rheinland for its outstanding performance of 100% renewable energy electricity consumption and 100% greenhouse gas offset. this is the second zero-carbon factory achieved by chint new energy after the yancheng base, and it is also another fruitful achievement for chint new energy to move towards the goal of achieving 8 zero-carbon factories by 2028.

in july last year, chint new energy's yancheng base completed zero-carbon factory certification, becoming the world's first zero-carbon factory certified by tüv rheinland in the photovoltaic industry. the jiuquan base has taken on the "zero-carbon" honor, achieving energy conservation and carbon reduction in all aspects, from infrastructure to energy and carbon intelligent information management systems, to equipment refined operations and green supply chain management.

to empower production with green electricity, the roof of the jiuquan base module factory is covered with 1mw astro modules. these photovoltaic modules can produce 940,000 kwh of green electricity per year, reducing 467 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and engraving low carbon into the product genes. at the same time, the jiuquan base purchased 12 million kwh of green certificates, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 5,946 tons, and purchased 30 tons of carbon credits for 100% carbon offset.

to reduce carbon emissions through recycling and intensive use, the jiuquan base maximizes waste recycling and reuse, and reduces greenhouse gas emissions through equipment replacement, energy-saving improvements, and recycled materials. for example, the jiuquan base can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 328 tons per year by replacing equipment with welding rods instead of solder wires; and can reduce carbon emissions by 450 tons per year by optimizing battery fragmentation rates and saving production raw materials.
