walking into the qingyang "east data west computing" industrial park of china mobile (gansu qingyang) data center project, workers in the computer room of the first phase project are installing and debugging cabinets, batteries and other related equipment in preparation for project delivery.
"we use the container and advance warehouse model, and the entire construction period has been shortened from the traditional one and a half years to the current four months. the core technology is the 'micro cube' technology developed independently by china mobile group to ensure that the project can be implemented quickly." said jing lirong, head of delivery assurance of china mobile (gansu qingyang) data center n01 new industrialized data center.
china mobile has planned a total of 292 acres in the "east data west computing" industrial park of the national data center cluster (gansu qingyang), with a total investment of about 27 billion yuan. the initial planning area of the first phase of the park is 137 acres. according to the national standard a-level standard, it is planned to build 2 new industrialized data center machine buildings (n01 and n02), 1 standardized data center machine building, 1 power center, 1 maintenance support building and 1 substation, with an installed capacity of about 3,500 racks, equivalent to about 30,000 2.5kw cabinets. at present, the n01 new industrialized data center has entered the final commissioning stage and can carry a computing power of about 5000p; the n02 new industrialized data center will be put into production by october 30. 50%. the data center will be put into production by the end of 2024 and can carry a computing power of 30,000p, and the computing power can reach 55,000p in the first half of 2025. after the first phase of the park is fully put into production at the end of 2027, the computing power can reach 150,000p.
as the first data center completed and put into operation in the national data center cluster (gansu·qingyang) "east data west computing" industrial park, the project has reached cooperation with shanghai suiyuan technology, beijing urban construction intelligent control technology co., ltd., etc., and has put 2,000 servers on the shelves, which can carry a computing power of about 4,600p. "china mobile gansu company will accelerate the formation of a full industrial chain of computing power investment, construction, and consumption, help qingyang nodes become bigger and stronger, and contribute to the development of the province's digital economy." chen changliu, party secretary and general manager of qingyang branch of china mobile gansu company, said.
this year, qingyang city has continued to implement 10 major data center and equipment manufacturing projects with a total investment of 19.262 billion yuan, and has completed a total investment of 2.335 billion yuan. 15,000 standard racks have been built, with an average rack rate of over 80%, and the computing power has reached 18,000p. with the continuous completion of various key projects, the city's computing power is expected to exceed 50,000p by the end of the year, and the prototype of "china computing valley" is accelerating.
