yu hai has been engaged in music for more than 50 years. he is the only conductor in my country who has been reviewed by five generations of leaders in tiananmen square. he has played and conducted the national anthem thousands of times on important occasions at home and abroad. in 2009, he was selected as the "chinese music person of the year" by music weekly. in 2011, he was awarded the title of "master of both morality and art" by the general political department of the people's liberation army. as a member of the national committee of the chinese people's political consultative conference, he has proposed legislation for the national anthem for 10 consecutive years and is known as "the conductor who gave birth to the national anthem legislation" and "the musician who promoted the national anthem legislation."
