xu jianping introduced that over the past 11 years, 52 african countries and the african union have signed a memorandum of understanding with china on the joint construction of the belt and road initiative, forming a high degree of consensus on the concept, principles and goals of the joint construction of the belt and road initiative. on this basis, china has successively signed cooperation plans for the joint construction of the belt and road initiative with algeria, egypt, ethiopia, djibouti, mauritania, morocco, mozambique and other countries and the african union, combining the key contents of the development strategies of african countries and the african union's "2063 agenda" with the actual development needs of enterprises, and in accordance with the principle of combining needs with possibilities, the cooperation projects and items are determined in the form of a list, and implemented in a rolling manner.
xu jianping emphasized that china and africa have always adhered to the important guiding principles of consultation, joint construction, sharing, openness, greenness, integrity, high standards, benefiting people's livelihood and sustainability in jointly building the "belt and road". it has comprehensively and deeply promoted the docking of the joint construction of the "belt and road" with the development strategies of african countries and the african union, identified key areas of cooperation and key contents of cooperation, taken into account the interests and concerns of both sides, respected the interests and development rights of african countries, advocated "everyone's affairs should be discussed and resolved", and jointly promoted the realization of china-africa economic integration, development linkage and sharing of results.
xu jianping also mentioned that in terms of talent training, china and africa have jointly implemented the "african students employment through train" program, set up a number of scholarship projects, and established the south-south cooperation and development institute. currently, 17 luban workshops have been built in africa, training a large number of highly skilled talents for african countries.
