according to the plan, the science city will initially build the foundation of the new energy system this year, promote the large-scale and diversified development of the new energy system in 2025, and achieve deep integration and innovation-leading development of the new energy system in 2027.

the “invisible” power plant has aggregated 170 users
it is reported that the virtual power plant released this time is one of the major innovative achievements of the cooperation between qing'an energy storage and science city urban operation group, and is also an important part of the new energy system of science city. at the event, wang yuankui, vice president of qing'an energy storage, gave a detailed interpretation of the functions of the virtual power plant platform.
the reporter learned that the virtual power plant is equivalent to an "invisible" power plant based on energy internet technology. as an important bridge connecting energy production and consumption, it can increase the utilization ratio of clean energy and reduce dependence on fossil energy by aggregating renewable energy and energy storage facilities, thereby reducing carbon emissions and promoting regional green development.
it can also effectively resolve the contradiction between the intermittent supply of new energy and the continuity of user electricity demand, and achieve optimal allocation and efficient use of energy. for example, it can store excess electricity during low electricity consumption and release it during peak electricity consumption, thereby reducing peak loads and filling valleys, adjusting the frequency and voltage of the power grid, and enhancing the stability and flexibility of the power grid.

it is understood that on july 25, chongqing's virtual power plant was officially launched. the first provincial virtual power plant platform in the southwest region will be built and developed in a "1+n" mode. "1" refers to the construction of the city's virtual power plant operation service platform, and "n" refers to the selection of representative regions or projects for pilot projects.
at present, the science city urban operation group has obtained the qualification for electricity sales. as of now, the science city virtual power plant platform has aggregated 170 users, participated in demand-side responses 8 times, with a total response volume of 18.3 megawatts, generating economic benefits of more than 300,000 yuan, and providing strong support for chongqing to meet peak summer demand.
the city’s first integrated source-grid-load-storage demonstration station has been built
it is reported that after the early layout and exploration practice, the construction of the new energy system in western (chongqing) science city has achieved initial results. for example, the city's first integrated source-grid-load-storage demonstration station integrating "photovoltaic, energy storage, charging, discharging, battery replacement, and battery testing" has been built - "science city smart charging longma supercharging station". all carports in the supercharging station are equipped with photovoltaic panels, with an annual power generation of more than 500,000 kwh. various charging equipment can meet the charging needs of 180 new energy vehicles at the same time, and the battery replacement station in the station can also support the battery replacement needs of more than 40 heavy-duty trucks.
in addition, the science city is also actively exploring the "charging supermarket" demonstration station, with the concept of "aggregating resources and developing in a coordinated manner", bringing together multiple charging pile brands to provide users with diversified and convenient charging options. at the same time, it is creating a distributed smart microgrid demonstration park that integrates energy production, transmission, consumption and storage functions to ensure efficient supply and use of energy in the park.
