"my grandpa, aunt and sister all studied at qufu normal university!" on august 31, mao tongxin, a freshman from dongying, reminisced about the past on the first day of school, adding a story of four people from three generations of a family being university alumni to the 2024 freshman orientation season of qufu normal university.
"the fate between our family and teacher qu is also a special source of motivation for learning." mao tongxin is looking forward to spending unforgettable time in a university campus full of confucian spirit and becoming a useful talent.
this year, there are 7,900 undergraduates, 2,342 master's students, and 135 doctoral students in the class of 2024 at qufu normal university. among them, mao tongxin is not the only freshman who has an indissoluble bond with the university.
"i graduated from qufu normal university two months ago, and now i'm back to my alma mater to send my cousin to college." li yiting, a graduate of qufu normal university, had previously got her dream job through her hometown's "talent program". her cousin li juncong followed her and came to qufu normal university to study the same major.
"my father came to qufu normal university to go to university in 1997, and today he sent me to qufu normal university to go to university again." li rui, a freshman of qufu normal university class of 2024, is a public-funded normal student. she hopes to grow into a future "great teacher" in the university in confucius' hometown.
"qnu is my alma mater, and i often talk to her about it." li rui's father said that he became a teacher after graduating from qnu, and now he also hopes that his daughter can realize her "teacher dream" at qnu. he believes that the freshmen's continued indissoluble bond with the university reflects everyone's high recognition of the excellent school spirit and academic style.
