it home reported on september 2 that nio's 2,500th battery swap station in china was launched in tongliao, inner mongolia today. it is the first battery swap station in the eastern part of inner mongolia. it is reported that nio currently has 3,968 charging stations and 23,202 charging piles.

at the 2024 nio charging day event on august 20, nio announced the "charging in every county" plan. nio founder, chairman and ceo li bin announced that the goal is to achieve charging in every county by june 30, 2025.

according to previous reports by it home, nio aims to complete battery swapping in 14 provincial-level administrative regions by june 30, 2025, covering more than 1,200 county-level administrative regions, including beijing, shanghai, tianjin, chongqing, macau, guangdong, hubei, jiangsu, zhejiang, shandong, henan, sichuan, anhui, fujian, etc. in addition, nio aims to achieve battery swapping in 27 provincial-level administrative regions by december 31, 2025, covering more than 2,300 county-level administrative regions.

at last year's 2023 nio day event, nio announced that it would add 1,000 new battery swap stations in the chinese market throughout the year, bringing the total number of stations built to over 3,310; and add 20,000 new charging piles, bringing the total number of stations built to over 41,000.
