beijing news (reporter wu tingting) on august 31, xibahe beili community in the taiyanggong area of chaoyang district held a micro-garden completion ceremony in the international mansion community and awarded a plaque to the all-age friendly micro-garden demonstration site.

at the event, the community invited residents to jointly adopt and participate in the management of the micro garden. through the self-construction and self-management model, everyone can enjoy the beauty of gardening and feel the fun of being a gardener. residents watered the trees, hung tree signs, and set up insect hotels on the green space to jointly maintain the micro garden environment.
xibahe beili community upgraded and renovated three corner vacant lots in the community through micro-renewal actions, turning them into micro-gardens integrating "leisure, education, fitness and entertainment". during the renewal process, the community relied on the "yi jia ren" alliance organization to coordinate the forces of units, property management, party members, autonomous organizations, volunteers and other forces in the jurisdiction to carry out environmental governance on a monthly basis.
since the beginning of this year, the taiyanggong area has taken xibahe beili community as a pilot, focusing on the whole-age group, implementing friendly actions and building an all-age friendly community. in terms of health and friendliness, with the support of taiyanggong health center and longzhen elderly care enterprise, professional health resources are introduced to enhance the health awareness of all-age groups. relying on taiyanggong health center, an all-age family doctor hotline is opened, focusing on health consultation to answer questions and solve doubts for residents.
in terms of environmental friendliness, we took the creation of a garden-style community as a starting point to promote environmental improvement. we formed a "flower farmer experience" team, divided the community into grids, and mobilized residents to widely participate in the planting of more than 4,000 roses. we carried out garden-style balcony creation activities, introduced chrysanthemums into the community, and attracted flower lovers to adopt them. at the same time, we recruited young families to form a "green angel" team.

li xia, party secretary of xibahe beili community, said that in the future the community will continue to work with all parties to build an all-age friendly community. ren pingli, deputy head of taiyanggong township, said that in the next step, based on the pilot project of xibahe beili community, the community will coordinate resources in the jurisdiction, increase financial investment, promote the construction of all-age friendly communities in the entire region, and improve the regional governance capacity and level.
