overseas network, august 30according to a report by bloomberg on august 29, huawei technologies co., ltd. has successfully seized apple's market share in china, with its revenue in the first half of the year achieving a significant year-on-year growth.
the report cited data from the international data corporation (idc) saying that huawei's smartphone shipments grew by 50% last quarter, surpassing apple together with other local brands such as vivo and xiaomi. it is reported that apple's market share ranking in the chinese mobile phone market has fallen to sixth place. in addition, while the overall shipments in the chinese mobile phone market have increased, apple's sales in china in june fell by 6.5%, lower than wall street's expectations.
the report pointed out that although the united states has taken sanctions and export control measures to curb the rapid development of china's chip technology, huawei's mate 60 released last year was the first to be equipped with a 7-nanometer process chip made in china, which made american policymakers uneasy.
