the business community has always been an important link in the friendly cooperation between china and africa. wang linjie, spokesperson of the china council for the promotion of international trade, said that china has maintained its position as africa's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years, and africa is china's second largest overseas contracting market. the participating companies registered this time include traditional industries such as energy and mining, infrastructure, finance and trade, as well as emerging industries such as electronic technology, communication satellites, and biomedicine. there are both well-known leading companies in the field of china-africa cooperation and a considerable number of small and medium-sized enterprises.
it is reported that the china-africa entrepreneurs conference, co-hosted by the china council for the promotion of international trade and the ministry of commerce, is the highest-level economic and trade event for the chinese and african business communities under the framework of the forum on china-africa cooperation. it is also an important mechanism platform for china and africa to further expand economic and trade cooperation and promote the comprehensive development of china-africa economic and trade relations. since its establishment in 2003, it has been held alternately in china and african countries every three years, and has been held seven times so far.
this conference will highlight the theme of the summit "join hands to promote modernization and build a high-level china-africa community with a shared future", including the opening ceremony, special speeches and closing ceremony. among them, the special speeches will invite chinese and african business representatives to have in-depth exchanges and discuss cooperation around the two topics of "promoting the integration of industrial chain and supply chain" and "promoting the development of emerging industries", explore new directions for deepening china-africa industrial cooperation, and find new opportunities for african countries to accelerate their integration into the international industrial chain and supply chain.
at the same time, as the organizer of the chain expo, "we will carefully listen to and absorb the relevant opinions raised by the african side at this conference, set up a special booth for the african union at the chain expo, and widely invite african companies to participate in the chain expo to showcase the results of china-africa industrial chain and supply chain cooperation, and help them find upstream and downstream partners in their own advantageous industries." wang linjie said, "we will also provide necessary support and assistance to african companies to participate in the exhibition and conference, and provide free booths and construction services for the least developed countries."
wang linjie said that this conference will build a platform for chinese and african entrepreneurs to share experiences, carry out cooperation and build consensus. the majority of chinese and african entrepreneurs will make full use of this platform to deepen communication and exchanges, jointly explore practical measures for the business community to implement the new blueprint for china-africa cooperation, and contribute to promoting high-quality development of china-africa economic and trade cooperation and building a china-africa community with a shared future in the new era.
