in the 1980s, lin zhanhui, a professor at fujian agriculture and forestry university, invented the juncao technology, and was therefore called the "father of juncao". by the 1990s, juncao technology had spread from china to africa and other places, helping developing countries in poverty reduction and sustainable development, and allowing china's "happy grass" and "rich grass" to take root in africa.

in 1997, lin zhanhui's daughter lin dongmei graduated from nanyang technological university in singapore with a master's degree in education and stayed in singapore to work. in 2003, she quit her job in singapore and returned to fujian to devote herself to the juncao business. the following year, lin dongmei set foot on the land of africa thousands of miles away for the first time. after years of hard work, she gradually grew into the deputy director of the national juncao engineering technology research center and the person in charge of the china juncao technology africa project.

this year, lin zhanhui, who is over 80 years old, accompanied by his daughter lin dongmei, has traveled abroad four times, welcoming the harvest with rwandan growers and introducing the use of juncao technology to control desertification to leaders of relevant egyptian departments...

lin zhanhui introduced that the mushroom grass technology has been constantly innovating while promoting development in accordance with local conditions. it has expanded from cultivating edible fungi "using grass instead of wood" to many fields such as ecological management, feed and fertilizer production, and biomass energy.

over the years, the juncao research team led by lin zhanhui has trained more than 8,000 students from various african countries, helped african farmers reduce poverty and become rich, and promoted friendly exchanges and cooperation between china and africa. they are known as the messenger for spreading juncao technology to africa.
