recently, in order to protect the aquatic ecological environment and fishery resources in yangzonghai lake, maintain the ecological balance of the waters, safeguard the order of fishery production and the closure of the lake for fishing, and regulate the fishing behavior of the general public, kunming yangzonghai lake administration has formulated and issued the "kunming yangzonghai lake fishing management regulations (trial)". the "regulations (trial)" were formulated and issued in accordance with the relevant requirements of the "yunnan province yangzonghai lake protection regulations" which came into effect on january 1 this year, and will come into effect on september 1.
the regulations have a total of fifteen articles, covering management scope, fishing methods, prohibited fishing areas and times, prohibited behaviors, etc.
management scope
all persons fishing in the entire waters of yangzonghai lake and the main rivers entering the lake as specified in the "yunnan province yangzonghai lake protection regulations".
fishing method
recreational fishing refers to fishing in which one angler uses one rod, one line and one hook (single hook) with the principle of not damaging fishery resources, for the purpose of recreational fishing, and the catch is not used for trading for profit.
no fishing areas and times
the yangzonghai management bureau has designated five no-fishing zones based on comprehensive considerations of environmental protection, fish habitat and spawning conditions, and safety management. in addition to the no-fishing zones, there are five recreational fishing areas along the yangzonghai lake. the no-fishing period for yangzonghai lake is from 0:00 on march 1 to 24:00 on june 30 each year. this period is the fishing ban period in the pearl river basin and the breeding period for fish in yangzonghai lake. all fishing activities are prohibited.
prohibited conduct
this includes using any floating tools to enter the lake for fishing and occupying the lake to build fishing platforms for fishing; one person using multiple rods, multiple lines, long lines, single lines with multiple hooks, explosive hooks, and using various video devices, fish finders, and fish shooting equipment, etc., which are fishing methods that cause great damage to fishery resources; using any equipment that pollutes the water quality, poisons aquatic life, or uses living animals such as loaches, fish, and shrimp for fishing.
other requirements
anglers should pay attention to their own safety, care for the ecological environment, protect the released fish fry, indigenous fish species and unique fish species in yangzonghai lake, and obey and cooperate with relevant management departments in fulfilling their fishing management responsibilities. organizing multi-person competitive group fishing should provide relevant information and report to kunming yangzonghai lake administration 15 days in advance.
in the next step, the yangzonghai management bureau will carry out fishing supervision work, reduce the damage to the ecological environment caused by disorderly fishing by strengthening management and standardizing fishing behaviors; avoid overfishing and undermining the sustainability of fishery resources; and enhance the ecological awareness, environmental awareness and social responsibility of anglers by strengthening publicity on standardized fishing.
