in an interview with minnmax, astro robot creative director nicolas doucet ruled out the possibility of developing a playstation vr2 version, but was open to a pc port.

moderator ben hanson asked doucet if he was interested in porting astro robot to a vr platform, to which doucet made it clear: “no way, this game is designed for a different medium.”

when hanson pressed if there was a "zero percent chance" that the game would be ported to vr, doucet reiterated that if the game were to be ported to vr, it would "be a different game."

later in the interview, the host brought up the possibility of a pc version and asked doucet if he had any words for pc players eager to play the game.

doucet responded: "we want to hear from you, yes, absolutely."

elsewhere in the interview, doucet was asked how many references team asobi was not allowed to include in the game. while he was cautious about giving a specific answer, when hanson suggested it was probably between five and 10, he responded, "about that many."

the new "astro robot" game will be released on september 6th.
