fast technology reported on august 28 that according to media reports,recently, china unicom issued the "2023 supplier blacklist" announcement, blacklisting companies such as hpe and vmware.

the announcement stated that according to the relevant provisions of the "china unicom supplier blacklist management measures" (china unicom group [2021] no. 150), on august 8, 2024, after deliberation at the group's general manager's office meeting, it was decided that:

ban measures have been taken against 17 suppliers within the group company and restrictive measures have been taken against 7 suppliers. the ban and restriction period will be calculated from august 8, 2024.

it is worth noting that two well-known foreign companies are included:

1. hewlett packard enterprise (china) co., ltd. (formerly known as hewlett-packard china co., ltd.): business restriction period of 3 years;

2. vmware information technology (china) co., ltd., business restriction period is 2 years.

however, the announcement did not mention why these two companies were included in the blacklist.
