Energy conservation and carbon reduction are important means to accelerate the green transformation of development methods. Since the beginning of this year, Zaozhuang High-tech Zone has accelerated the development and utilization of clean energy, orderly promoted the construction of new energy projects such as photovoltaic power generation, and deeply promoted green, low-carbon and high-quality development while promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and cultivating and expanding emerging industries with low energy consumption and high energy efficiency.
As summer turns to autumn, overlooking the major industrial parks in Zaozhuang High-tech Zone, dark blue solar panels are neatly arranged on the roof of the factory buildings, continuously converting solar energy into clean electricity.
Bai Xue, the person in charge of the distributed photovoltaic power generation project in Zaozhuang High-tech Zone, said: "So far, we have built distributed photovoltaics on the roofs of factories of nearly 10 companies, including Shandong Quanxing Yinqiao Optical Cable Technology Development Co., Ltd., Yinke Tianrun New Energy Materials (Shandong) Co., Ltd., Shandong Tianqu Aluminum Co., Ltd., and Lunan Big Data Center, with a total installed capacity of 16MW and an estimated annual power generation of 20 million kWh."
Shandong Quanxing Yinqiao Optical Cable Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in the production of communication optical cables, railway optical cables, and wires and cables. It has more than 300 sets of specialized and advanced production equipment. On the top of the company's factory, 15,000 solar panels shine brightly under the sunlight, providing the company with 4.5 million kWh of clean electricity per year on average.
Zeng Xianfa, director of the equipment department of Shandong Quanxing Yinqiao Optical Cable Technology Development Co., Ltd., said: "Our company consumes a lot of electricity in the production of optical cables and cables, with an average annual electricity consumption of 11 million kWh. Since the construction of the distributed photovoltaic project on the top of the factory building, we have achieved self-generation and self-use, and the surplus electricity is connected to the grid. The electricity used by the company's photovoltaic power generation project accounts for 40% of the total annual electricity consumption, and the average annual electricity bill can be saved by more than 2 million yuan."
Solar photovoltaic power generation is a clean and renewable form of energy. At present, Zaozhuang High-tech Zone is seizing the opportunity of new energy development, implementing large-scale distributed photovoltaic projects on factory roofs, accelerating the construction of a green energy supply system based on distributed photovoltaics, and actively guiding enterprises to transform and develop in a green and low-carbon manner.
Wang Tao, deputy director of the Economic Development Bureau of Zaozhuang High-tech Zone, said: "In the next step, our district will firmly adhere to the concept of ecological priority and green development, accelerate the development and utilization of clean energy, vigorously cultivate new energy and new business forms, and continuously expand new energy application scenarios, so as to effectively inject more green momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy."
