China News Service, Beijing, August 26th "The preparation period for the Paris Olympics was relatively short, but for the upcoming Los Angeles Olympics, we have four years to prepare. Liang Weikeng/Wang Chang can continue to work hard for the next Olympics, and He Jiting/Ren Xiangyu, as the second doubles, are also relatively stable." Speaking of the situation of the national badminton men's doubles, Chen Qiqiu, the head coach of the Chinese badminton team's men's doubles team, said so.

Last weekend, the 2024-25 season Bushuila Star Future Youth Badminton Open Beijing Station and the national opening match were held in Beijing. Chen Qiqiu watched the game on site and interacted with the children.
This competition is supported by the Youth Committee of the China Sporting Goods Industry Association. It is a mass event for young people aged 4-15. It aims to attract and encourage more young people to participate in badminton, consolidate and expand the pyramid base of China's badminton population, and help the healthy growth and all-round development of young people. The competition includes city competitions in autumn/spring every year and the national finals in summer. The top three players in each group in each city competition area will go directly to the national finals.
This competition has 25 singles and doubles groups, with 451 young players participating. Chen Qiqiu is very happy that so many children came to participate. He frankly said that he could see the hope for the future of Chinese badminton from this, and he also expected more good seedlings to emerge. He suggested to the children to lay a solid foundation and do a good job in basic skills in daily training and competitions.
Looking ahead to the Los Angeles Olympics, Chen Qiqiu said: "What we need to do next is to let more outstanding young players experience the training, hoping to accumulate more competitive combinations and continue to improve the overall strength of the national badminton men's doubles." (End)
