Although August is the off-season for fur sales, sellers and fur lovers from all over the country still gathered in Tongerbao Town, Dengta City, Liaoning Province.
The "Fourth Tongerbao Leather and Fur International Expo, China's Fur Capital" was recently held in Tongerbao Town, Dengta City, Liaoning Province. The Expo was hosted by the China Leather Association, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs and Livestock, and Liaoyang Municipal People's Government. According to statistics from the organizing committee, more than 10,000 merchants came to this northern town to discuss fur business. At the Expo, the China Marketing Society awarded the Tongerbao Leather and Fur Market the "Most Influential Brand Market Medal of 2023".
Ai Yingli, chairman of Liaoning Weidel Garment Co., Ltd., told reporters, "As our styles become more updated and fashionable, more and more young people like fur, and the proportion is higher than before."
Tongerbao Town is an important base for fur production, processing and sales in the country, and enjoys the reputation of "China's Fur Capital", "China's Famous City of Leather and Fur Clothing" and "Liaoning Province's Characteristic Tourist Town".
It is understood that the fur sales peak season begins in October every year. At that time, Tongerbao Town receives an average of about 20,000 customers per day, making it a shopping paradise for fur lovers.
