IT Home reported on August 27 that according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple's sixth-generation iPad mini has begun to be out of stock in many retail stores, which may mean that a new generation of iPad mini will be released soon.

IT Home noted that Gurman said on X:Apple internally considers iPad mini to be "supply constrained"This could be a sign that a new product is about to be released. The sixth-generation iPad mini was launched in September 2021, and it has been nearly three years.

Apple has been developing the seventh-generation iPad mini, and rumors suggest it may be released this year. The seventh-generation iPad mini is expected to be equipped with an A17 Pro or better chip to support Apple Intelligence and equipped with upgraded front and rear cameras. Apple may also include other updates such as Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

Apple announced today that it plans to hold a fall launch event on September 10 to launch the iPhone 16 series, the new Apple Watch and the new AirPods. It is not clear whether Apple will update the iPad mini at the same time.
