Recently, several videos about "suspected school bullying incidents in Guanghe County, Linxia Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province" have caused heated discussions on the Internet.

On August 26, the Guanghe County Public Security Bureau and Guanghe County Education Bureau issued a notice on the incident, saying that the public security department is investigating and handling the seven perpetrators and their guardians, and the three victims are in good health. On the morning of August 25, a video of a student from Chengdong Middle School in Guanghe County being slapped and bullied was posted by a netizen on an online platform, which attracted widespread attention from the public.

The county party committee and county government attached great importance to the incident and set up a joint working group involving education, public security, justice and other departments and relevant townships to quickly carry out investigations and related work. The preliminary investigation and handling situation is now reported as follows:

After investigation, there are three videos involved. In two of them, the parties involved are eighth-grade students of Chengdong Middle School in Guanghe County. On the afternoon of August 24, when registering for the new semester, they had a conflict due to trivial matters such as slandering appearance and nicknames. Six female students including Ma, Su, and Ding bullied two female students, Ma A and Ma B, on campus by slapping and insulting them. The third video incident occurred on July 15. The perpetrator Yang (female, a graduate of Chengdong Middle School in 2023) slapped Ma C, an eighth-grade female student of Chengdong Middle School, outside the school due to personal conflicts. At present, the public security department is investigating and handling the seven perpetrators and their guardians. The three victims are in good physical condition, and relevant psychological counseling and post-disaster disposal are still in progress.

Chengdong Middle School was seriously derelict in its duties and responsibilities in school management, which caused adverse social impact. After research and decision, the principal of Chengdong Middle School was dismissed; the county's Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision is investigating the relevant responsible persons. To prevent similar incidents from happening again, the county's education system is carrying out a special investigation and rectification of school bullying, further strengthening campus management and legal education for students, and creating a good environment for the healthy growth of minors.

Previously, there were videos showing that several girls were slapped by a short-haired girl, with the scenes including the roadside, indoors, by the window, etc. In the relevant videos, the students who were slapped were wearing school uniforms.
