China Mobile officially acquires stake in Honor and has completed industrial and commercial changes

[CNMO Technology News] Qichacha APP shows that recently, Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. has undergone industrial and commercial changes, and a new shareholder, China Mobile Communications Co., Ltd., has been added. Previously, Honor issued a statement announcing that the company has received investment from China Mobile.

According to Qichacha, Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. was established in April 2020 with Wu Hui as the legal representative. The registered capital is approximately RMB 32.239 billion. It is jointly held by Guosen Capital Co., Ltd., Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co., Ltd. and others.

Previously, Honor said that the company had received investment from China Mobile. The company has always adhered to the principle of open and transparent development and will continue to diversify its equity structure. As a leading company in the field of smart terminals, Honor has a rich product portfolio; while China Mobile has significant advantages in channel resources and user resources.

The two parties have broad space for cooperation in business areas such as innovation of comprehensive consumer solutions, Chinese market, and expansion of high-end users. Through this cooperation, both parties will give full play to their respective advantages and jointly provide users with a better and more innovative experience.

According to IDC data, in the second quarter of this year, China's smartphone market shipments reached 71.58 million units, up 8.9% year-on-year, and Honor ranked fourth with a market share of 14.5%. In response to rumors about its listing, Honor previously stated that it plans to launch the corresponding shareholding reform in the fourth quarter of this year and then start the IPO process in due course.
