On August 26, the long-awaited OTA upgrade for BYD's 2021 Song PLUS owners finally arrived. This OTA covers two models, the 2021 Song PLUS DM-i and Song PLUS EV, achieving up to 10 new additions and 9 major optimizations, with a more outstanding smart experience to meet users' high-quality travel life.

2021 Song PLUS DM-i Intelligent Enhancement, 7 New Features and 9 Major Upgrades

This OTA update mainly focuses on the adjustment and improvement of in-car functions such as the smart cockpit. DM-i has been fully upgraded to the dark version of DiLink system UI, adding dual display of weather information, graphics and text, and economy/sports mode switching effects. The interface has been fully optimized, which not only improves the aesthetics of the interface, but also makes it more convenient for car owners to operate the car. A new dual-tone zone continuous dialogue function has been added, which can enable full-scene voice in the intelligent voice settings. After one wake-up, it can listen continuously for 20 seconds, and the command dialogue is smoother. Users do not need to interrupt and wait, so that "Xiao Di" can understand you better. At the same time, the voice broadcast of forgotten mobile phones has not been left behind. Through smart reminders such as "Please do not leave your phone behind" and "The phone is still charging, please do not leave it behind", it serves as the user's intimate butler. As well as a new smart split-screen function, when the current stage is the map interface, you can synchronize voice to open applications or play music, etc. The map navigation and other applications are displayed in split screens, and the driver can drive and the co-driver can entertain, without interfering with each other, making the journey more fun. In addition, the vehicle image interface can use smart voice functions, smart voice fireworks and firecrackers, and Kugou Music Car Edition. Seven new functions have been added to the whole car, bringing users a caring travel experience.

In addition to 7 new functions, the 2021 Song PLUS DM-i has also undergone detailed upgrades to 9 major functions, including optimization of intelligent voice broadcast tone, third-party application updates, optimization of SOC calculation method to improve mileage display accuracy, optimization of AC charging balancing strategy to improve battery health, engine sound simulator sound effect optimization, wiper control/seat heating function optimization, electronic control communication function optimization, motor torque response optimization, and P gear light off logic optimization in OFF gear, continuously optimizing the user experience.

The 2021 Song PLUS EV is redesigned with 10 new features and 4 major upgrades

After the new OTA upgrade, in addition to the 7 new functions of the 2021 Song PLUS DM-i, the 2021 Song PLUS EV also has an additional "privacy management" system positioning service validity period setting item, panoramic radar digital range display function and iFlytek input method. The entire vehicle has added up to 10 new functions, further enhancing its own intelligent technology advantages.

Not only that, the 2021 Song PLUS EV has also simultaneously upgraded four major functional points: intelligent voice broadcast tone optimization, third-party application update, SOC calculation method optimization, and AC charging balancing strategy optimization, improving the user's driving experience in many aspects.

Through this OTA update, the 2021 Song PLUS (including DM and EV) car experience will be smarter, more convenient, and more intimate, making users' travel life more intelligent and interesting.
