Where is the most popular place at the HICOOL 2024 Global Entrepreneurs Summit? In addition to the special exhibition area that showcases scientific and technological achievements, the multiple project roadshows held on the main stage and sub-stages also attracted a lot of attention from the audience.

On August 24, the winning and outstanding projects of the HICOOL 2024 Global Entrepreneurship Competition were presented on the same stage, providing entrepreneurs with the opportunity to connect with investment institutions. Project teams in the sub-sectors of smart technology, artificial intelligence, high-end equipment, new energy, medicine and health took turns to take the stage, painting the future city scene for the audience.

Artificial intelligence empowers traditional industries

At the smart technology roadshow held all day on August 24, a series of new products showcased application scenarios of artificial intelligence empowering traditional industries to upgrade.

"AI changes the world and makes transportation better!" Song Peichen, vice president and secretary of the board of directors of Smart Interconnect, explained in detail the company's solution to empower urban smart transportation scenarios based on the integrated AI big model of sensing, computing and control. With the intelligent road network AI decision-making intelligent technology, city-level high-precision perception technology and AI algorithm big model, roadside parking, order management, intelligent signal control, vehicle-road-cloud integration and other traffic scenarios are more "intelligent".

Song Peichen said that the company's AI products have been deployed in more than 50 large and medium-sized cities. Taking Beijing's application scenarios as an example, the company uses AI high-altitude video technology to serve Beijing's roadside parking electronic charging reform. The independently developed artificial intelligence high-altitude video products cover 16 districts in Beijing and a map of parking resources, helping to transform manual on-site charging to electronic charging. The parking order has been significantly improved and traffic smoothness has been greatly improved.

"In fact, artificial intelligence is all around us. We are optimistic about the market for AI to empower urban traffic scenarios and provide safer and more efficient transportation services." As soon as he finished his summary and walked off the stage, dozens of audience members came forward to exchange business cards with him and discuss cooperation.

Han Mingzhu, CEO of Zhonghui Medical Imaging Co., Ltd., introduced the latest technology for screening and treatment of adolescent scoliosis. Through three-dimensional ultrasound imaging technology, the company's R&D team added artificial intelligence algorithms on the basis of ultrasound to achieve three-dimensional ultrasound bone imaging, avoiding the radiation risks of traditional methods. When the introduction was coming to an end, the slides of the company's latest financing plan on the big screen attracted investors to take photos frequently.

Making robots understand humans better

The World Robot Conference is in full swing in the Economic and Technological Development Zone. At the HICOOL roadshow, robots have become a high-frequency word mentioned by entrepreneurs. It has become a consensus among entrepreneurs that robots will be more suitable for real life scenarios and will be applied to more fields in the future.

"In cold storage scenarios, robots replacing humans has become a real need." Chen Bowen, chief data officer of Yueshi Robotics, said that my country lacks cold chain infrastructure, the harsh operating environment of cold storage also causes physical harm to operators, and it is difficult to recruit manual forklift drivers. These problems faced by the cold chain industry can be solved by robots. Relying on the company's intelligent unmanned transport vehicle dispatching system, inventory information management system, distributed control system, etc., logistics robots can complete the stacking, storage, sorting, and handling tasks in the cold storage under unified intelligent dispatching, reducing costs and increasing efficiency for the cold chain industry.

In order to make robots as flexible as humans and to collaborate with humans to complete complex tasks, robots need to keep learning. Wan Ke from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University introduced the "Intelligent Human-Robot Collaborative Manufacturing System under Multimodal Natural Interaction" during the roadshow. In the view of the research team, today's industrial robots still cannot meet expectations when performing complex tasks such as hole making in large aircraft assembly sites and flexible assembly and testing of precision electronic devices.

With the rapid development of mixed reality and large language models, the problems of poor flexibility and difficult interaction that human-machine collaboration once faced have been solved. The team has developed an intelligent human-machine collaborative manufacturing system to enable robots to better understand humans, and has launched demonstration applications in industries such as oil drilling and new energy vehicles.

New energy companies increase their presence in Beijing

In recent years, with the introduction of various hydrogen energy policies, the development of China's hydrogen energy industry has entered the fast lane, and the development of green hydrogen has attracted much attention from the industry. "The development of the green hydrogen industry is the only way for the third global energy revolution, and there is a broad market space." At the "Future-oriented" roadshow on the afternoon of August 24, Hu Junming, deputy general manager of HICOOL award-winning company Hyde Hydrogen Energy, shared industry insights and promoted the company's new generation of hydrogen production system by electrolysis of water.

"Our goal is to promote technological innovation in the green hydrogen industry and promote international industrial cooperation based in Beijing." Hu Junming also specifically mentioned the company's development plan in Beijing. He introduced that the company has established a Beijing studio and completed the Beijing company registration. In the future, it will introduce high-end talents in Beijing, undertake scientific research demonstration projects in the field of hydrogen energy in Beijing, strengthen cooperation with Beijing universities and scientific research institutions, and consider listing in Beijing in the future.

At the roadshow, several entrepreneurial projects were favored by investment institutions, and entrepreneurs and investors had in-depth exchanges on project prospects after the event.

It is understood that the HICOOL competition has established in-depth cooperation with dozens of investment institutions. Enterprises can sign up for the competition through the recommendation channels of investment institutions. At the same time, investment institution personnel serve as judges for the competition, which helps to discover excellent projects in the high-tech industry track earlier. The HICOOL competition also matches excellent projects with a one-stop entrepreneurial service ecosystem to help entrepreneurial projects grow rapidly.
