Volkswagen UK announced that the ID. Buzz 7-seater long-wheelbase version will be launched at CarFest 2024 this week. The new car has already started pre-sale in the UK market and is expected to be officially launched and delivered before the end of the year.

CarFest, held in Hampshire this year, is the largest family charity fundraising event in the UK. Volkswagen UK chose to debut the ID. Buzz 7-seater long-axis version here to target family customers. The ID. Buzz 7-seater long-axis version is targeted at family use and can flexibly switch between 5-seat, 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. All rear seats are equipped with three-point seat belts and ISOFIX child seat fixings. The second row of seats can slide and tilt, while the third row of seats can be completely removed. Thanks to the longer wheelbase, the ID. Buzz 7-seater long-axis version uses a larger capacity 86kWh battery, with a range of up to 291 miles (about 468.3 kilometers) according to the WLTP standard.

The length of the ID. Buzz 7-seater long-axis version reaches 4,962mm, which is 250mm longer than the standard short-axis version. The size of the rear sliding door is also increased by 192mm, making it more convenient for rear passengers to enter and exit.

There is 306 liters of cargo space behind the third row of seats, which can be increased to 1,340 liters when the third row is removed; when the second and third rows of seats are folded down, the luggage space can be increased to 2,469 liters. It is also equipped with an adjustable luggage floor to create a new loading level, and when the rear seats are folded down, a completely flat loading area can be formed.
