IT Home reported on August 24 that technology media NeoWin reported yesterday (August 23) that in the Edge 128 stable version browser update released by Microsoft this week, it was clearly stated that the rounded "floating" tab feature will be cancelled.

Microsoft redesigned the Microsoft Edge browser in 2022 to make the overall style more in line with the overall aesthetics of the Windows 11 system. One of the adjustments was to bring rounded corners to the tabs.

When users currently visit the "edge://flags/#edge-visual-rejuv-rounded-tabs" page in the Edge browser, it will display "This flag can adjust the browser tabs into round buttons. This feature will be discontinued soon. - Mac, Windows, Linux."

IT Home reported in March 2023 that Microsoft added two switches to the Edge Canary 113.0.1743.0 version, allowing users to decide whether to turn on the rounded corner design of windows/tabs. It is expected that this feature will be updated to other versions soon.
