Kuomintang caucus secretary-general Hong Mengkai pointed out yesterday that after the relevant budget is sent to the public opinion agency, the "Defense Committee" will conduct professional review and strict control.

Kuomintang legislator Lai Shibao pointed out that Taiwan’s defense department will only allocate 2 billion next year, which is easier to pass, but in fact 284 billion has to be approved at once, which is a bit of a "cheating move." Moreover, the Haikun has not yet been launched for testing, but so much money has to be allocated, and the people will be very concerned.

Lai Shibao went on to say that Taiwan can probably only make the hull of its own submarines, and other red zone equipment must be purchased from foreign arms dealers, which also involves whether to obtain authorization and transfer related technologies. If the budget is compiled now, even if it is reviewed year by year in the future, a lot of professional information will still be needed to convince the representatives.

In response to this, DPP caucus secretary-general Zhuang Ruixiong brazenly stated that under the DPP's rule in recent years, GDP has grown year by year, and greater investment in the military is in line with people's expectations.

Regarding related issues, Chen Binhua, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, previously stated that due to the turmoil of the "Taiwan independence" forces, more and more weapons are being purchased, the debt is getting higher and higher, and the Taiwanese compatriots are becoming more and more uneasy. If the DPP authorities are allowed to go all the way down the evil path of "selling out Taiwan", "harming Taiwan" and "destroying Taiwan", it will only push Taiwan into a dangerous situation of war and bring serious harm to the Taiwanese compatriots.
