The trainees were very dedicated under the guidance of the instructors, and they practiced every move in a very good manner... This is the scene of the military training of students at the Affiliated Middle School of Guizhou University. Since mid-August, some batches of the Huaxi District People's Armed Forces have continued to carry out military training activities for nearly 35,000 freshmen from 29 universities, high schools (secondary vocational schools), and technical schools in the area.
In order to complete the military training of new students in schools in the jurisdiction with high standards, the Huaixi District People's Armed Forces Department has attached great importance to it since receiving the training task. Under the guidance of provincial and municipal levels, it has accurately matched the training needs in accordance with the requirements, strictly in accordance with the "Military Course Syllabus for Ordinary Colleges and Universities" and "Military Training Syllabus for High School Students". Scientific training plans have been formulated to implement training contents such as individual soldier formation movements, tactical movements, health and rescue, marching and training, and incorporate Xi Jinping's thoughts on strengthening the military, the development history of the people's army, military knowledge, and national defense education practice activities into daily life. Training is organized strictly according to the syllabus, closely focusing on serving the national talent strategy and the needs of national defense reserve force construction, with the focus on cultivating students' national defense awareness and enhancing their military literacy, giving full play to the comprehensive educational function of student military training, promoting the all-round development of students' morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor, and cultivating young people of the era who can be of great use and can shoulder heavy responsibilities.
At the same time, in order to ensure the high quality of military training instructors, the Huaixi District People's Armed Forces Department selected a group of veterans with high political quality, good ideological style, strong organizational discipline and strong military skills from the basic militia organized in the jurisdiction for centralized training in advance, and carried out one-on-one assessments in strict accordance with the standards of "four skills" (speaking, doing, teaching, and doing ideological work) coaches. Finally, nearly 400 comrades were selected to serve as military training instructors, and strict control was exercised over the quality of the student military training instructor team.
In the next step, the Huaixi District People’s Armed Forces Department will follow the student military training plan, continue to explore and innovate student military training models, improve teaching methods, continue to strengthen the organizational leadership of student military training, guide freshmen to take the "first step in school", and successfully complete the 2024 student military training tasks.
