In order to further enrich the summer vacation life of young people in the area and stimulate their imagination and hands-on ability, recently, Xiabao Community of Caohu Street, Xiangcheng District, Suzhou City, relying on the "Zucao Action" secretary project, jointly with the grid, Women's Federation, and the China Association for the Elderly, carried out a creative handmade DIY activity of mosaic coasters.
First, under the guidance of the teacher, the children used their imagination to design their own unique coaster patterns. Then, according to the guidance of the volunteers, the children carefully selected and arranged the mosaic pieces, pasted the mosaic patterns on the bamboo coasters, and filled the gaps with the prepared caulking agent. While wiping off the excess caulking agent and waiting for it to dry, the children exchanged their experiences and shared their works with each other.
This activity stimulates children's creative potential through the production of mosaic coasters, allowing them to discover and create beauty through hands-on practice. At the same time, it encourages children to help each other and create together, and cultivate their teamwork spirit and social interaction skills.
