IT Home reported on August 22 that X platform user 포시포시(@harukaze5719) noticed that Intel has launched two adapter boards suitable for LGA9324-OKS-AP platform power supply testing on its official DESIGN-iN TOOLS store.

Intel wrote in the description of these two products that the LGA9324-OKS-AP Oak Stream platform supports Diamond Rapids. This positively confirms the existence of the next generation Xeon performance core processor and corresponding platform after Xeon 6 "Granite Rapids".

Currently, the only known information about the Diamond Rapids processor and Oak Stream platform is that the whistleblower YuuKi_AnS mentioned on October 13, 2022 that Diamond Rapids will support PCIe 6.0 and CXL 3.0.

But YuuKi_AnS said at the time that Diamond Rapids will be equipped with 8-channel DDR5 memory, which should refer to the -SP version of this series of processors, which is somewhat different from the -AP version that appeared this time.

Compared to the existing LGA7529 Birch Stream-AP platform, the next-generation Oak Stream-AP platform has an increase of approximately 24% in the number of LGA pins. These additional pins are expected to support higher interconnect bandwidth and power supply requirements.

IT Home Note: The existing Birch Stream-AP platform will support the -AP versions of Xeon 6 performance cores and energy efficiency core processors, as well as the next-generation Xeon energy efficiency core processor Clearwater Forest-AP.
