As one of the representatives of new quality productivity in the energy field, China's energy storage industry will continue to lead the industry to achieve high-quality development through innovation-driven development and support the construction of new power systems and new energy systems. In 2023, my country's new energy and new energy storage industries will continue to maintain rapid growth and become an important force in ensuring power supply. By the end of 2023, the total installed capacity of grid-connected wind power and solar power generation in the country will reach 1.05 billion kilowatts, accounting for 36% of the total installed capacity, and the proportion of wind power and photovoltaic power generation in the total electricity consumption of the whole society will exceed 15%. The newly installed capacity of new energy storage in 2023 will be about 22.6 million kilowatts/48.7 million kilowatt-hours, an increase of more than 260% from the end of 2022. By the end of 2023, the cumulative installed capacity of completed and put into operation projects will reach 31.39 million kilowatts/66.87 million kilowatt-hours. New energy storage is increasingly becoming a key technology for my country to build a new energy system and a new power system, and an important tool for promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy production and consumption. By the end of 2023, the total installed capacity of new energy storage in my country will exceed 30GW, and the output value will reach more than 100 billion yuan. It is expected that the installed capacity of new energy storage will reach more than 70GW in 2025, and the output value will reach more than 300 billion yuan. In 2030, it is expected to reach more than 200GW, and the output value is expected to exceed the trillion mark. The next 2 to 5 years will be an important opportunity period for the development of the global new energy storage industry. From March 10 to 13, 2024, the 14th China International Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition (referred to as "CIES"), hosted by the China Chemical and Physical Power Sources Industry Association and jointly supported by more than 500 institutions, was successfully held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center. The conference was themed "Building an Energy Storage Ecosystem and Creating New Developments in Energy Storage". It held 22 exciting events. More than 65,181 industry leaders from more than 10 countries and regions around the world gathered in Hangzhou, of which more than 300 companies showcased their energy storage products.
