On August 20, a new batch of 53 Nanjing teachers gathered and were ready to go! They will go to the Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture of Yili Prefecture in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
Yining City and Tekes County started a one and a half year teaching career!
On August 20, a pre-departure meeting for the third batch of “group-style” teachers supporting Xinjiang was held in Nanjing. The meeting introduced the pre-departure preparations for supporting Xinjiang, read out the list of the management team of the teachers supporting Xinjiang, and held a flag-raising ceremony for the “Nanjing City Supporting Xinjiang Teaching Group”.
At the meeting, representatives of the previous batch of teachers used their own personal experiences to share their work and life experiences with the new team members, expressing their deep love and persistence for teaching life. Shao Changfeng, the leader of the second batch of "group-style" teaching group in Xinjiang and secretary of Hongshan Junior High School, said: "During the teaching period, we continuously improved our political quality and professional level, and won the trust and respect of local teachers, students and the masses. We adapted to the new role in a timely manner, actively implemented the experience of Jiangsu curriculum reform in the course teaching process of various subjects, actively carried out the pairing activities of young engineers and apprentices, and worked hard to build a team that "cannot be taken away" for the local area. Negotiated and signed a cooperation agreement to make the educational friendship between Ning and Yi closer and stronger. We have successively carried out the activities of "writers entering campus", "entrepreneurs entering campus", "government agencies entering campus" and "personal donations entering campus" to provide spiritual and material support for the children of Yining."
Teaching in rural areas is a legacy of love. A new batch of teachers from Nanjing took over the baton and embarked on a new journey. Tao Xin, head of the third group-style teaching group in Xinjiang and principal of Xuanwu High School, said: "Teaching in rural areas is not just a simple giving, but also a profound self-growth. In the process of teaching, we may encounter various difficulties and challenges, but as long as we have passion and courage to take responsibility, nothing can stop us from moving forward. We will go hand in hand, with full enthusiasm and firm belief, embark on this teaching journey full of challenges and opportunities, and write our own chapter on the land of Xinjiang. We must strive to be a beam of light to illuminate the children's way forward, ignite the fire of dreams in their hearts, and help them see a wider world."
Nanjing City has been carrying out education assistance work in Tibet, Xinjiang, Qinghai and Shaanxi on a regular basis. Currently, there are 134 teachers in the city who are providing assistance and teaching in the western region, including 35 principals and teachers who have gone to Shangluo, Shaanxi to provide assistance to the schools in the targeted areas, 65 teachers who have undertaken the task of providing assistance and teaching in Xinjiang, 31 teachers who have gone to Shaanxi and Qinghai for targeted cooperation and support, 2 school leaders who have gone to Xining, Qinghai to provide teaching support, and 1 kindergarten principal who has gone to Lhasa, Tibet to provide teaching support.
They are not only teachers, but also messengers. They are capable and passionate. I give a thumbs up to the teachers who support teaching in Nanjing!
