There are 17 robots with different tasks in one park. On the eve of the opening of the 2024 World Robot Conference, Yuyuantan Park held a launching ceremony for the "Robot + Garden" innovative application scenario as a branch venue.
On August 20, reporters saw a "small tank" working on a path surrounded by green space in Yuyuantan Park. It sprayed a fine mist that could cover a 6-8-meter radius. Han Ling, deputy director of Yuyuantan Park, said that this is a pest control robot that can perform greening maintenance tasks such as disinfection, pest control and dust removal.
Road cleaning robotYuyuantan Park is not large in area, but surprisingly, a total of 17 robots from 11 companies have been put into operation since April. "These robots are roughly divided into six categories, including cleaning and sweeping, water rescue, greening maintenance, smart inspection, science education, and ecological monitoring." Han Ling said that the deployment of robots has effectively improved the park's smart scenic area construction and service management level.
Water surface cleaning robotTaking cleaning robots as an example, the park has deployed road cleaning robots and water surface cleaning robots. The road cleaning robot can automatically avoid pedestrians, park itself, and use high-precision positioning algorithms to clean blind spots such as gaps on the edge of the road. The water surface cleaning robot can automatically collect floating garbage such as fallen leaves, catkins, and debris on the water surface. The propeller differential propulsion system it uses has flexible steering, can move forward and backward, and can also add the function of sailing against water grass entanglement in complex waters.
In terms of security inspection, there is a water rescue robot that weighs only 26 kilograms and can be thrown into the water from a high altitude such as a ship or a shore. Its remote control distance exceeds 500 meters and it can quickly reach the person who falls into the water through wireless operation. Zhao Tao, captain of the Yuyuantan Park cruise ship team, told reporters that the speed of the water rescue robot is about 10 times the swimming speed of an average person. It is not only fast but can also cope with complex water conditions, greatly improving the efficiency and success rate of rescue.
Water rescue robotWhy did the old park introduce such a cool robot? Hu Yong, director of the Municipal Garden Greening Big Data Center, introduced that the "Beijing Garden City Special Plan" clearly proposed to innovate governance concepts and methods and create a model for the development of a smart garden city. In order to promote the development of new quality productivity in the garden greening industry and use smart equipment to help the smart construction of the capital's garden city, the Municipal Garden Greening Bureau has widely solicited excellent robot products from robot companies across the city, strengthened exchanges and cooperation between parks and robot companies, and actively promoted the demonstration of "robot + garden" application scenarios.
Pest control robotIn the future, the Municipal Bureau of Landscape and Greening will further open up landscape and greening industry scenarios, conduct in-depth research on the intersection of the landscape industry and the robotics industry, formulate top-level design and working mechanisms, continue to connect with robotics companies to meet their needs, develop robotic products suitable for landscape and greening scenarios, further expand the scope of pilot applications, and create an industry model of "robot +".
