CCTV News(News Broadcast): The latest customs data show that in the first seven months of this year, the import and export scale of the Yangtze River Delta region hit a historical high, with exports of products such as automobiles, ships, and CNC machine tools performing well. The international competitiveness of the Yangtze River Delta region's high-end manufacturing industry is accelerating.
According to customs statistics, in the first seven months of this year, the total import and export value of the Yangtze River Delta region was 9.1 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%. Among them, automobile exports were 180.63 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.7%, accounting for 39% of the country; ship exports were 111.41 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 79%, accounting for 64.1% of the country; high-tech product exports were 1.2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.4%, accounting for 34.8% of the country. In the map of the total import and export value of the country, the Yangtze River Delta region accounts for 36.7% of the share, playing an important role as a "ballast stone".
In the first seven months of this year, the Yangtze River Delta region exported 134.97 billion yuan of high-end equipment, a year-on-year increase of 52.7%, accounting for 55.3% of the country. High-tech products are one of the important export products of private enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region. Due to their high added value, high technology content and broad market prospects, they have gradually become an important part of international trade. In the first seven months of this year, the import and export of private enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region was 4.89 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9%, accounting for half of the total value of foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta, reaching 53.7%, becoming an important force in the development of foreign trade in the Yangtze River Delta.
