On August 19, the "Taxi Patrol Network Integration Development White Paper" (hereinafter referred to as the "White Paper") compiled by the Guangdong Urban Public Transport Association was officially released, aiming to systematically sort out the status quo, challenges and opportunities of the taxi industry patrol network integration development, and provide guidance for the transformation and upgrading of the industry. The release of the "White Paper" marks that the taxi industry is entering a new stage of high-quality development in the context of the new era of digitalization.
With the rapid development of Internet technology, online car-hailing platforms have risen rapidly, bringing challenges and opportunities to the traditional taxi industry. In order to cope with this change, improve the overall service level of the industry, and meet the public's growing personalized travel needs, the integrated development of taxi patrol networks is particularly urgent. Against this background, the "White Paper" came into being, comprehensively analyzing the current situation facing the taxi industry and proposing specific paths and strategies for integrated development.
The White Paper elaborates on the importance of the integrated development of patrol and internet and its key role in the transformation and upgrading of the industry. On the one hand, through the integration of patrol and internet, traditional cruising taxis can use Internet technology to realize online order acceptance and intelligent dispatch, improve operational efficiency and service quality; on the other hand, online car-hailing platforms can also use the offline operation experience and professional strength of cruising taxis to further standardize and improve their own services. The White Paper believes that the integration of patrol and internet is an effective way to promote the high-quality development of the taxi industry.
The White Paper lists operational examples of the integration of traditional cruising taxis and online ride-hailing. The new "cruising + online ride-hailing" model in Shantou City, Guangdong Province provides valuable experience for the industry. Shantou Transportation Group cooperated with the "Cao Cao Travel" travel service platform invested by Geely Holding Group to establish Shantou Youxing Taxi Co., Ltd. Through the "public bus public operation" management model, relying on Cao Cao Travel mobile APP software to provide online ride-hailing services, it has achieved a deep integration of traditional cruising taxis and online ride-hailing. This model has improved the quality of taxi services, increased drivers' income and passenger satisfaction. Data shows that the driver turnover rate under this model is only 5%, and the citizen satisfaction is as high as 93.8%.
The White Paper proposes that top-level design should be strengthened, transport resources should be optimized, fare mechanisms should be improved, and service quality should be enhanced. It also emphasizes government-enterprise cooperation to promote patrol and network integration, establish and improve management policies to create a fair market environment, encourage technological innovation to enhance service intelligence, improve service facilities and strengthen operational safety, and promote the healthy development of the taxi industry in all aspects. Cao Cao Travel said that it will continue to deepen its cooperation with the Guangdong Urban Public Transport Association with the release of the White Paper as an opportunity to jointly promote the digital transformation of the taxi industry and the integrated development of patrol and network.
