From July 12 to 15, 2024, the Jinhua Group of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics' Thousand Enterprises Survey conducted a series of enterprise research activities in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, and deeply explored the development status and future trends of local small and medium-sized enterprises in the process of modernization.
Professor Li Jinsong served as the instructor for this research. Under the leadership of Professor Li, the research team was divided into two groups and carried out a research activity for several days. The first group members were: Zhang Shengjun, Wang Yuanzheng, Zhou Ruohan, Zhuang Yizhen, Chen Xinran, and the second group members were: Chen Che, Jiang Jingxuan, Mao Yingxin, Li Ruoxi, and Yan Yuchen.
Jinhua City, with its strong economic strength and diversified industrial structure, plays an important role in Zhejiang Province and even in the whole country. This survey activity covers more than 20 representative small and medium-sized enterprises in Jinhua City, including service industry, manufacturing industry and other fields. Through field visits, interviews and exchanges, the research team has a deep understanding of the production and operation status, technological innovation capabilities, market expansion strategies, and challenges and opportunities faced by enterprises.
The research team conducts in-depth field research in enterprises
The survey found that Jinhua's small and medium-sized enterprises have shown vigorous development vitality in the wave of Chinese modernization, but they are also facing pressures in transformation and upgrading, market expansion, and other aspects. Take Zhejiang Better Kitchenware as an example. The company focuses on the research and development and production of medium and high-end aluminum non-stick tableware. With advanced production technology and a strong R&D team, it continuously launches innovative products and successfully opens up domestic and foreign markets. At the same time, most of the surveyed companies have common problems - some companies have encountered bottlenecks in market expansion, and their brand influence and market share are insufficient; small and medium-sized enterprises have weak adaptability in the increasingly fierce domestic and foreign market competition environment, and investment pressure is increasing. To this end, most companies are actively seeking solutions and working hard to improve their competitiveness.
During the research process, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Zhejiang College assisted in contacting enterprises, arranging interview schedules, and actively participated in the research interviews. Zhang Zhengliang, director of the Organization Department of Zhejiang College, and teachers such as Li Meichang, Luo Hao, Xu Yixuan, and Ni Shuting went to the front line of enterprises with the research team to discuss the development issues of small and medium-sized enterprises. The active participation of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics Zhejiang College provided strong support for the research work.
Conduct interviews and exchanges
The Shanghai University of Finance and Economics' Thousand Enterprises Survey in Jinhua has come to a successful conclusion. It has not only collected a large amount of valuable data and information, but also provided useful references for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Jinhua. In the future, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics will continue to pay attention to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in the process of China's modernization, and help our country's economy achieve higher quality and more sustainable development.
